So, a while back, I was on my way home from church and then I met up for some fellowship with a few friends. One of them asked me - What Do You Do?. Now, I can talk for hours about what I do but for some reason I was speechless, totally speechless. I struggled to actually somehow explain what I do. I actually don't know why but looking back on that, I actually had no idea where I was heading or what I wanted to do.
Identity has many meanings. Three main ones that I like are
1 - The difference of character that marks off an individual from the rest of mankind
2 - A name or persona: A mask or appearance one presents to the world - by which one is known
3 - Sense of who one is
At that time, Bishop David Onimisi, was talking about Identity and it really hit home at how much work I still have to do to Identity myself and also work on how people can Identify who I am. Now, I do alot, I have a lot of interests, career goals, passions, dreams etc etc.
If I told you about my current business was set up or how I started writing songs at 17 or how I started organizing events at 18, you would actually confused as to what I do. I had just left school, about to start college, confused about life and what I wanted to do. There came a moment when someone told me 'Don't put all your eggs in one basket'. That baffled me for ages, until I worked it out. If the basket fell, the eggs will crack and you won't have any left. I then realized what was staring at me in face, identify what you want to do and the rest will follow.
When I talk about Identity, I don't mean how old you are, your name or where you are from. It's all about how you perceive yourself and how others perceive you. What will be said about you when you collect that award or when you stand in front of your maker on Judgement Day. That thought cares me a lot but every day I'm learning about myself and how others see me.
Imagine this, You are in an interview and the interviewee asks your friends how they identify you. What would they say? It's a spine chilling thought but if you know who you are, that shouldn't be a problem or should it?
If someone needs to find you, are you discoverable or are you untraceable. How easy are you to find in certain situations. When the going gets tough, will you carry on and fight till the end or will you turn around and walk away. When everyone you know, starts heading into their own direction, it leaves one person - YOU.
Where are you going? Who Are You? What Do You Do?
These three questions bugged me from day one. I'm going to set you a challenge. Ask yourself these same questions, see what you come up with.
Up to this day, I haven't got a simple answer to these questions but all I know is that I am a Man Of God and I do many things.
What is Your Identity? How easy is it for people to identify you?

#RyansWorld - Home
Left in such a hurry
Left without a worry
Left without a care in the world
Left with just a bag and your pride
This road looks long
This road looks dark
This road looks scary
This road looks wrong
Still I carry on
Still I Ignore your voice
Still I begin to falter
Still I begin to wither
I sit there wondering what to do
I sit there wondering where to go
I sit there thinking who to call
I sit there looking for answers
I sit there crying
I sit there in silence
Somewhere in the distance, I see a figure
Somewhere in the distance, I see an angel
Somewhere in the distance, I see a light
Somewhere in the distance, I see a hope
Somewhere in the distance, I see a future
Somewhere in the distance, I see an answer
Somewhere in the distance, I see my saviour
I feel energized
I feel happy
I feel revitalized
I feel overjoyed
I go back to my place of Joy x2
I go back to my place of Happiness x2
I go back to my place of Encouragement x2
I go back to my place to Restoration x2

#RyanSays - The Importance of Rest
Have you ever had those days where you feel so tired but mentally you just get on with life because its the right thing to do? Ever considered that you need to take a rest, give your body a well earned rest, revitalize yourself
You might be thinking to yourself, 'I've got so much to do today, no time to stop' or 'If I don't show up to the event / party, what will they think of me?. REST, I've never heard of that before. I have no time to rest.
Have you ever tried telling your friends that it's not possible and you want to rest. I don't mean sleep, but do something that involves spending time with you. It could be a walk in the park, a spa break or even a picnic.
Here is my synonym for REST
R - Revitalize
E - Energy
S - Soothing
T - Time
Revitalize, Energy, Soothing, Time. They all work together. Take time out to Soothe, Energize and Revitalize yourself.
A while back, I worked at Wimbledon for the Championships. 12 days of work, no rest in between. It was a great experience, I loved it and I would love to work there again. The next day, I was supposed to be working on the Tour De France route. I was actually so tired, I didn't go, I stayed at home and had a rest. I have to say, it was the best thing all round because the next day I was very much revitalized and was able to perform at the highest level.
You will get those times where you are summoned to work, or you don't always have the time to rest but sometimes you need to find that balance. Decide what's important and what isn't important, Give yourself a rest now and again because nobody would want you working below par. Not getting enough rest can seriously do some damage to your Physical and Mental Health.
Picture this - A Man, carrying his bags looking for a place to stay, nowhere to go, all he wants to do is rest and sleep until the next day. He finds a place, conditions aren't top class but important thing is - He gets his rest, has a nice sleep and is able to finish his journey.
In life, a journey will be long and tiring. Don't feel like you have to drag yourself along. Stop, Have a Rest and then carry on. You will feel much better in the long run.
Stop doing what you don't want to do and what isn't necessary. Start Looking after yourself. Have a Rest. Revitalize and Energise yourself
Be Blessed

#RyanReviews - Blazing
Good Afternoon Guys, I hope you are well. Yesterday, I went to an event called Blazing, the theme was - Spreading the Fire Of His Love. It's a week long event but the particular one I went along to was called 'Curious', a dating and relationship Seminar
I will admit, I didn't know what to expect at first but as I settled in, I found it quite useful.
The Evening was split up into two sections. The Men and Women were both split and they both had seminars where we could discuss certain things and also gain advice from our fellow Brothers and Sisters.
We then spoke about the meaning of Dating, which I found very interesting. It was a topic which nearly took up all of our time but nevertheless we then spoke about how to honor God both as a Single Person and when you're in a Relationship. It really was an eye opener, I'm glad that I attended because it taught me a lot about Females. Another thing we were taught about was the different stages leading up to Marriage which are - Friendship, Dating, Courtship and Relationship. I really never knew this, to me it was pretty straightforward but hey, it's helpful to know.
After the break, we then had a panel and we had the opportunity to ask each other questions i.e. The Men ask the Women questions and vice versa. Some of the questions asked were interesting, I really can't lie but some I was really interested to find out what everyone had to say.
Some of the responses were very intriguing, very useful information but I was quite surprised. You could sense that everyone was eager to learn
It was then time for the Panel Discussion, which was basically for us to ask questions. It was a very pleasant evening all round, I can confess that I thought I knew everything there is to know about females but after tonight, I learnt some new and interesting things.
I really enjoyed myself and it has given me a brief highlight into the Dating and Relationship scene

#RyanSays - Think Big, Dream Big
A wise man once said to me "so you do small, so you do big" , I
did actually wonder what he meant by it. I was about 16 at the time, I
had previously never heard that kinda talk before but the man let me in
on a secret - Doing small things in life will prepare you for bigger and
better things in life
When I first set up my company - 1stXp, it was a result of me thinking big and also dreaming big. I had a dream that it would be a huge international company, the brand would be well known and it would have a positive impact on people all over the world. I couldn't sleep for months, I had all these visions which was telling me what it was going to be like in the future.
From those visions, I dreamt of being in a large stadium, our anthem Care Of Yoo being played and everyone dancing away and having a good time.
I told a few others about it, they soon put doubts in my head. I began to feel like it wouldn't work or it wouldn't happen because i was a young guy who only had dreams but then I had this amazing thought - What if you took that first step, what exactly would happen. That's when I started to think big, real big
I rented out a rehearsal studio in East London each weekend, rehearsing songs that I had written and also rehearsing the very first Care of Yoo Event. The hype was real, the interest in Care of Yoo grew and grew and finally on July 26th 2005, I Performed at the very first Care of Yoo event. It really was a bittersweet moment because all the people doubted that it would take place were present at the event.
Looking back at it now and what impact it had, the dreams got bigger and bigger. I recruited a team and we had some glorious times but the people who I started the journey with are not the ones with me now.
The theme Care of Yoo is one that means a lot to me and on the last week of November 2014 I will entitle it as Care Of Yoo week.
This is just the beginning, not the end.
I challenge you to start thinking big, dream big dreams, the type of dreams that will give you sleepless nights, the type of dreams that will push you and motivate you. Don't let anyone tell you it can't be done because it can be done.
I learnt that the bigger you get the smaller you realise the obstacles are.
Think Big, Dream Big - It's the only way forward
Have a dream, idea or a vision? Bring it to life, write it down on paper and take the first step.

#RyanReviews
Soo Last Night, I went along to the final night of the Hillsong Conference which took place at the O2 arena. Heading to the arena, i met up with a few brothers and sisters from church, totally unexpected you know. Was just expecting it to be me and a close friend of mine but God works in mysterious ways. We took our seats, you could feel the excitement in the air. Soo many Worshippers under one roof, praising 'no other name'
The Hillsong United crew were amazing, it was like one big party. You could sense that everyone came to enjoy themselves but not knowing what to expect.
Then came the special moment, Joel Houston, was joined on stage by a film director. It was revealed that Warner Brothers and Alcon Entertainment presented the trailer of the movie - HILLSONG - LET HOPE RISE. It follows the journey of Hillsong Church and Hillsong United. The story behind it is soo amazing and history making.
I was in awe i listened to the journey of Hillsong Church. From a little school hall to the O2 arena, doesn't get any bigger that. God is truly amazing, their story is so encouraging. If you remain humble and you dont let success change you, God will surely move in your life
Robert Madu, a minister from Dallas, Texas, came to bring us a word entitled 'More than what you came for'
What a word it was, he zoomed in on Mark 2 v 1 - 12. It followed the story of the Paralytic guy who presented himself in front of Jesus. Jesus saw the faith of this guy and said unto him 'Son, thy sins are forgiven' He then told him to 'Get up and Go Home' Immediately, the guy rose up, took his mat and went forward. People were amazed and declared that they had never seen anything in this fashion.
Robert Madu, brought it to the life, made the passage seem so real. I really enjoyed the sermon and could just imagine what it would have been like. We then prayed together and then Hillsong United came out for the Praise Party.
The Praise Party brought an end to a very glorious and magnificent evening. The Conference was filled with Joy, Healing, Excitement and most importantly Spirit Filled Worshippers
Next Year in 2015 will be even better but in the meantime, please check out www.hillsongmovie.com. Share the vision and Support the vision.
God bless you all and have a blessed weekend and an even great week.
Tomorrow come and join me at Salem International Christian Centre for our Healing Service. We are based at West Ham Football Club, Upton Park, West Ham. Come along and Experience God. I hope you can be there
